Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
TaskEarn is operated by Sanjay Sokal. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
2. What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address and optionally your mobile number.
- Your password — stored only as a bcrypt hash. We never see or store it in readable form.
- Payout details — the UPI-linked mobile number and account name you provide when requesting a payout.
- Activity records — tasks you start and complete, timestamps, amounts credited, wallet transactions and payout requests.
- Technical data — your IP address at sign-up, at login and when starting a task, used for security and fraud prevention.
- Support messages — anything you send us through the support page, and our replies.
We do not collect your bank account number, card details, Aadhaar, PAN or any government ID.
3. Why we use it
- To run your account and show your task history and balance.
- To send your payouts by UPI.
- To detect and prevent fraud — chiefly duplicate accounts and automated task completion.
- To answer your support messages.
- To send service emails: payout confirmations, support replies and password resets.
We rely on your consent, given when you create an account, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure and paying people correctly.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. It is shared only in these situations:
- Advertising partners. Third-party advertising is shown on task pages. These networks may set their own cookies and collect device and browsing information under their own privacy policies. We do not pass them your name, email or UPI number.
- Payments. Payouts are made manually from our own UPI app to the number you supply. Your number is visible to us and to the banking system in the ordinary course of the transfer.
- Email delivery. If we send email through an external SMTP provider, that provider processes the message and your email address.
- Legal requirement. Where we are obliged to disclose data by law.
5. Cookies
We set one essential cookie to keep you signed in. It carries no advertising or tracking data and is required for the Service to work. Advertising partners may set additional cookies, which you can control through your browser settings.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and activity data — for as long as your account exists.
- Payout and wallet records — retained after account closure where needed for accounting and to resolve disputes.
- Support messages — retained until no longer needed to handle your query.
- Password reset links — one hour, then they stop working.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Forms are protected against cross-site request forgery, and database access uses prepared statements. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not reuse elsewhere, and tell us at once if something looks wrong with your account.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate — most details you can edit yourself on your profile page;
- delete your account and personal data, subject to records we must keep for accounting;
- withdraw consent, by closing your account.
Write to sokalsanjay@gmail.com or use the support page. We aim to respond within 30 days.
9. Children
The Service is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, tell us and we will remove the account.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be notified in the app where reasonably possible.
11. Grievance officer
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, privacy complaints may be sent to sokalsanjay@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.
